Plato plays down practice speed
British Touring Car star Jason Plato believes qualifying in the top six at Brands Hatch this afternoon will be a struggle, despite going fifth fastest in the brand new MG in second practice. On its first proper day of running, the Triple Eight-prepared NGTC MG6 was less than half a second slower than Andrew Jordan's pacesetting Honda Civic.
