Heavy rain resulted in a wash-out of Friday's second IndyCar practice session at Barber Motorsports Park, although Takuma Sato was quickest of the drivers who did venture out to brave the conditions. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan racer set a best time of 1m18.8684s, although he only completed three laps before retreating to the team trailer. Dragon's Sebastien Bourdais was second-fastest with a time 0.4 slower than that set by Sato, with Ganassi's Scott Dixon rounding out the top three.
