Humpe’s Homestead Homerun

Week Three of the NASCAR iRacing.com Class C Series (open setup) took the online racers to the Homestead-Miami Speedway for some high speed, side-by-side racing at one of the trickiest tracks on the NASCAR circuit. While this track may be tricky for some, it proved to be no challenge for a name frequently seen gracing the pages of inRacingNews.com. 1,020 sim racers attempted to tackle the 1.5-mile progressively banked speedway in search of victory in the week’s highest Strength of Field race. During the 3345 SoF, Ohio native Kenny Humpe made a late race pass to take the victory by 0.611 seconds over second place Edward Szigeti (New Jersey), who paced the field for 61 of the race’s 90 laps.
