Sato given engine penalty

Takuma Sato has been issued a 10-place grid penalty for an unauthorised engine change going into Sunday's IndyCar race in Sao Paulo, although its impact is negated by the fact that he would have started from the rear of the grid anyway after failing to make it out for qualifying. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan team opted to make the change after second practice, and the weekend's condensed scheduled did not leave enough time for the job to be finished for qualifying
